Three from the Sea, a three-movement work (Mahi Mahi!, Rays en ballet, Jumpin’ Jack Mackerel), was created as part of David Evan Thomas’ 1997-98 residency at Saint Paul Academy and Summit School in St. Paul, Minnesota. Playable by advanced high school students. It is scored for 3 B-flat clarinets. Duration: approximately 5.5 minutes.
